Short Description:

A Cat6 UTP/FTP 48-port patch panel is similar to the Cat5e version described previously, but it is specifically designed to support Cat6 cables. Cat6 cables have better performance characteristics and are capable of higher data transfer rates compared to Cat5e cables.

Just like the Cat5e version, this Cat6 patch panel provides a central hub for terminating and managing network connections. It has 48 ports, allowing for a large number of connections to be made in a single location.

The UTP/FTP designation indicates that the patch panel can support both unshielded twisted pair (UTP) and foiled twisted pair (FTP) cables. UTP cables are typically used in most residential and commercial setups as they provide good performance and are cost-effective. FTP cables have an additional foil shield to provide better protection against electromagnetic interference, making them more suitable for environments with higher levels of interference.

Category 6 high density patch panels provide the performance needed for present and next generation data communications networks and applications, including Gigabit Ethernet. The high density format is ideal where cabinet space is at a premium.

Available in a 2u 48 port format, these Category 6 high density panels achieve optimum transmission performance by incorporating the highest quality components and innovative on-board compensation techniques. The front of the panel features write-on designation labels for each port as well as individual outlet numbering.

The rear of the panel has an easy to follow colour code for each numbered cable position and two cable tie positions are provided for each 6 way block. An optional rear cable management bar is available if required. All Connectix Category 6 high density panels are fully compliant with the TIA/EIA Category 6 standard. When used in conjunction with Category 6 modules and UTP cable the user will get a link performance exceeding Category 6 requirements
